Im trying to really understand what im doing here!!!! I dont know if you are talking about a generic profile that i can find in some folder inside dispcalgui files or about a profile generated by myself.

You say that when creating the 3D lut I have to use the Rec. I think I really don't understand it at all. Now, about the Create 3D Lut tool in DispcalGUI. If necessary, there are also applications available to convert LUTs from one format into another. mga LUT format (originally developed by Pandora), which is compatible with software by Rising Sun Research, Kodak, and others.

The apple color manual says: All LUTs used and generated by Color are 3D LUTs. Is a lut created by technicolor to use with the CinesTyle picture style they developed for use with dslrs. In case I want to work in Color, how do I convert a 3dl or cube LUT to a mga LUT? What are the steps I have to take to do that and wich will be the settings?ģ- I know DispcalGUI can create 3dl and cube LUTs, but Apple Color can only handle mga LUTs. So, here comes my questions:ġ- Can I create an ICC profile with DispcalGUI, then convert that ICC profile to a 3DLut to use as display Lut in Color or Resolve? Is that going to work?Ģ- Can I do that with DispcalGUI? If the answer is yes. So i am trying to find the way to get all the color accuracy I can get with this gear.Ĭolor and Resolve didnt use the ICC profiles of the display for the output monitoring (Did they?). I know the dell is not a broadcast monitor.

Also I think the Macbook Pro have not enough power to use resolve in an 80 minutes HD project.

The job could be done in Color, Resolve or Final Cut 7 or X. All the gear we have is a Macbook Pro, a DELL U2410 display, an X-Rite i1 Display Pro and the UltraStudio Mini Monitor. I hope you can help me! I have to do a color correction for a low budget documentary. First of all, sorry about my poor english.
